The History of
Rohingya Christian Fellowship
A journey of faith, resilience, and God's faithfulness among the Rohingya people.
Our Journey Through Time
From humble beginnings to a growing movement of faith
The First Seeds
In a small village in Cox's Bazar, a handful of Rohingya believers began meeting secretly for prayer and Bible study. Despite intense persecution, they clung to Christ.
First Baptisms
Four Rohingya believers were baptized in the Bay of Bengal, boldly declaring their faith. This marked the first public Christian baptism among the Rohingya in modern Bangladesh.
Bethel Church Established
With growing numbers, the community formally established Bethel Church as a place of worship, discipleship, and refuge. Pastor Peter Saiful was ordained as lead pastor.
Rohingya Crisis & Response
As hundreds of thousands fled violence in Myanmar, Bethel Church became a center for humanitarian aid, providing food, shelter, and spiritual comfort to refugees.
Ministry Expansion
Women's, Men's, Youth, and Children's ministries were formally launched. The church began offering literacy classes, vocational training, and Bible translation.
A Growing Family
Today, the Rohingya Christian Fellowship includes over 500 believers, 12 church plants, and a thriving community that continues to share the hope of Christ.
"God Has Been Faithful"
"When we were few and afraid, the Lord was our shield. Today we stand as a testimony that God never abandons His people."— Pastor Peter Saiful, Founder
